We began the journey modestly and humbly in the steel trading business based around Chandigarh on March 23, 1984. Those simple years were full of very hard and challenging work at the operational front and a demanding personal commitment and involvement into grass-roots level organization development.

Mangla Sons entered the manufactured steel value chain in 1987, along with Bhagwati Steel Sales operating in the Steel trade.
In 1992, we became a Direct Distributor of SAIL Steel, and within 2 years, we acquired a ‘KEY CUSTOMER STATUS’ for the manufacturer’s consortium.
By 1996, we started becoming associated with the sales and distribution of TATA Steel products, and continuing the ascent by the year 2000, both Mangla Sons and Bhagwati Steel Sales were appointed as direct distributors for complementing product lines of branded steel products.
On the fourth of May 2006, We at Mangla Sons commissioned our first Steel Service Centre dedicated to TATA Steel with CTL (Cut to Length) and HR (Hot Rolled) lines. In 2007, Mangla Sons Steel Service Centre was awarded TATA Steels’s ACE (Adequate, Competent, Exclusive) Award for process excellence, which is a recognized industry specific hallmark of our attention to detail.
Towards the goal of becoming an integrated specialist service provider, we set up our own logistics unit for efficient handling of serviced steel products and complementing our trading position
2008 saw the creation of True Steels Pvt. Ltd, our sister concern based in Mohali, with capabilities of customized fabrication of sheet metal into innumerable assemblies such as equipment panels and housings.
We’re looking at new challenges in 2009, when we are in yet another phase of value chain integration, moving towards original equipment manufacturing through an upcoming venture called Rollcon Metal Solutions. We hope to utilize our well earned knowledge and a synergy of our related business activities.
We believe the journey has been fairly rewarding towards our commitment to delivering high standards to our customers and continuous improvements in processes. Yet, a greater sense of accomplishment comes from our work environment which has been so patiently nurtured in the leadership of our CEO, and upheld by each employee with a huge sense of pride and belongingness to the team.
